How it works

Our 5-step in-home rug clean

  1. 1

    Check the rug

We read the label or test the fibre, check the backing, the stains and the smell, and tell you honestly what will lift — and whether it is a rug we should be cleaning at all.

  2. 2

    Dry vacuum both sides

Grit sits at the base of the pile and grinds the fibres every time you walk on it. A slow vacuum, both sides, gets it out before anything gets wet.

  3. 3

    Pre-treat

A pre-spray for the traffic lanes, enzyme for pet urine and organic stains, targeted treatment for wine, coffee and ink.

  4. 4

    Hot water extraction

Heated solution in, dirt and water straight back out in the same pass. Low moisture, so the floor underneath stays dry.

  5. 5

    Groom & dry

Optional sanitiser or Scotchgard, then we groom the pile so it dries evenly. Most rugs are dry in 2–4 hours.

What we clean — and what we don’t

We clean everyday rugs in your home with hot water extraction. Delicate and natural-fibre rugs need a specialist rug laundry, and we will say so rather than risk your rug.

Not us — we’ll point you to a specialist:

Not sure what yours is made of? Send a photo of the label (or the back of the rug) with your quote request, or read how to tell what your rug is made of.

Why us

Not a call centre. Not a carpet add-on.

Prices published up front

Size tiers, add-ons and the minimum are all on the page. No “from $29” bait and no call-out fee in the fine print.

Honest about stains — and rugs

We tell you what will lift and what might not before you pay. If your rug needs a specialist laundry, we say so instead of guessing.

Cleaned in your home, same day

No pick-up, no week without your rug. We clean it where it lies and it is back in use that evening.

Child & pet safe

Low-residue products, rinsed out through extraction rather than left in the pile for kids and dogs to lie on.

Dry in 2–4 hours

Book a morning slot and the furniture is back on it by dinner.

7 days a week

Mon–Sun — 7am–7pm, including weekends.

Rug problems, answered honestly

How Much Does Rug Cleaning Cost in Adelaide? Almost no Adelaide rug cleaner publishes a price, which makes it hard to know whether a quote is fair. Here is what the market actually charges, what drives the number, and what we charge. Read the guide › Rug Doctor Hire vs Professional Rug Cleaning Supermarkets and hardware stores rent carpet machines for the day, and plenty of people point them at a rug. Sometimes that works. Here is an honest account of when it does, when it ruins the rug, and what the professional option costs in comparison. Read the guide › How to Get Dog Urine Out of a Rug Whether it is a puppy, an old dog, a cat with a grudge or a visitor’s pet, the method is the same — act fast, blot, use an enzyme cleaner, treat the backing, and dry the rug properly. Here is how, and where DIY runs out. Read the guide › What Is My Rug Made Of? Before anyone wets a rug — you or a cleaner — the fibre decides everything: whether it can be steam cleaned, whether it will shrink, bleed or go stiff, and what it should cost. Here is how to tell. Read the guide › Can You Steam Clean a Wool Rug? We get asked this a lot, and the honest answer is the reason we don’t do it. Wool is a wonderful rug fibre and a terrible candidate for hot water extraction on your lounge room floor. Adelaide questions

Straight answers

How much does rug cleaning cost in Adelaide?

We price by the size of the rug. A runner or small rug up to 2 m² is $69, a medium rug (2–4 m²) $99, a large 2 × 3 m lounge rug $139, an extra large rug (6.5–9 m²) $179 and an oversized 3 × 4 m rug $219. Pet urine treatment, heavy stains, Scotchgard and sanitising are optional add-ons from $20–$40, all on our price table. The minimum booking is $89, every rug after the first in the same visit is 10% off, and the price is confirmed before we start.

Do you clean rugs in my home or take them away?

In your home. We bring a hot water extraction machine to you and clean the rug where it lies, or on a tiled floor, verandah or driveway if you prefer. There is no pick-up, no wash plant and no week without your rug — it is back in use the same day.

What kinds of rugs do you clean?

Synthetic rugs (polypropylene, polyester, nylon, acrylic), machine-made wool-look rugs, cotton flatweaves, shag and high-pile synthetic rugs, kids’ rugs, hallway runners, outdoor rugs and rubber-backed mats. We do not clean wool, hand-knotted Persian or Oriental, silk, viscose, jute, sisal, sheepskin or cowhide rugs — those need a specialist rug laundry, and we will tell you so rather than risk your rug.

How long does a rug take to dry?

Most synthetic rugs are dry to the touch in 2–4 hours, thick shag and cotton closer to 4–6. We extract as much water as the machine will pull, groom the pile, and tell you how to speed it up — lift one edge onto a chair for airflow underneath, a fan across the surface, and no furniture back on it until it is fully dry. Book a morning slot and you are walking on it that evening.

Can you get dog or cat urine out of a rug?

Usually, yes — the smell almost always and the stain most of the time. We use an enzyme treatment that breaks the urine down instead of masking it, then extract it through the rug. If urine has soaked into a rubber or latex backing repeatedly, some odour can remain, and we will tell you that honestly before you pay.

Will the stains come out completely?

Fresh spills usually do. Red wine, turmeric, hair dye and anything that has sat for months may lighten rather than vanish, and bleach spots or sun fade cannot be cleaned back. We look at the rug first and tell you what to expect before any money changes hands.

Do I need to move the furniture?

If you can clear the rug, great — it dries faster and we can do the whole surface. If not, we will slide light pieces off and back on. Please keep furniture off the rug until it is completely dry, and vacuum it first only if that is easy; we do a thorough dry vacuum anyway.

Which suburbs do you cover?

We cover all Adelaide metro — north to Gawler, south to Aldinga Beach, the beaches from Semaphore to Brighton, and the foothills from Blackwood to Golden Grove and Stirling. If you are unsure whether you are in range, send us a quote request and we will tell you straight away.
